The Tweed at Peel Bridge

Today started in a similar way to yesterday: it was rather damp in the morning and N hooked, and lost, another fish.

After lunch I wandered along the river bank to see if I could spot any salmon making their way upstream. I was treated to two leaping completely out of the water, one after the other, just after I took this photograph of Peel Bridge. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera at the ready and, although I lingered quite some time, enjoying the warmth of a blink of sunshine, no more fish deigned to make an appearance. Nor did any attach themselves to N's fly.
