The Grabber

......... this is what passes for excitement these days ......... watching a gang of workmen with a wheelbarrow each gradually build a huge mound of earth outside the front of the house ( what you can see it the picture is the final third !!!)........ but the really exciting bit was when the big grabber lorry came and cleared it all up, lol ........ I definitely need to get out more ;-)))

The cul de sac is normally really quiet during the week so it’s very distracting when fit young men with squeaky barrows are constantly walking past the window .......... there is a small off shoot of three houses along the narrow lane at the front of our house and someone up there is having some work done but I can’t for the life of me work out what they’re having done ....... this is the second huge mound of earth that has been created and cleared ...... surely that must be too much for extension foundations.

Anyway, they’re not very chatty people who live there so I’ll probably never know but it was interesting to watch the grabber lorry at work ....... they are amazingly accurate and efficient at picking up the earth..... that huge heap was cleared in no time ;-))
