Can You Guess What It Is Yet?
SWMBO has not been vertical today let alone come downstairs.
I managed to get her to have one cup of tea and a slice of toast over the course of the day and then this evening she amazed me by having a plate of Carbonara.
I have not even unlocked the front door today, let alone step outside - nor have I switched on the dreaded google box.
What I have done is take pictures of the most mundane things ever - like the vase and weather predictor on the windowsill, the ceiling light and the free standing light next to my chair (there are a few shot of that along with the linked one).
Some of my recent turnings also got 'the treatment'. There are the needle boxes (for want of a better description) made from Willow and Ivy from the garden, a pot made from the horrible soft wood from my neighbour's garden (I think it may be Larch or something similar), the very odd shaped pot from a bit of Holly (also from the garden) ..... I love the ring patterns and the silky finish in Holly and of course there is the Holly and Ivy box which put up such a fight and I had to glue back together. Yes, there are filled cracks which a rather obvious (it turned out that the same coloured sawdust I used to fill in the cracks reacted differently from the Ivy when combined with superglue) but I can live them and I really like the way the bit that came off and is glued back on looks like a comforting arm round the main piece. The different textures are nice too.
If you haven't guessed yet - the main Blip shot is light reflecting off the blank TV screen and breaking up into lines of rainbow colours.
