Ullswater ( oh no, it isn't!)

Don't say "Oh yes, it is!" because it isn't. Trev and I have a silly joke involving confidently stating that a lake which has just appeared...is something which it isn't! So when he reached this edge he didn't say "Coniston".
I think we started doing this as a result of hearing tourists making mistaken pronouncements. Actually we are usually quite kind to tourists. In the last twenty four hours we have stopped two women and a bouncy dog from walking away from the place they were trying to get to; helped someone locate her partner on the fells; and given detailed advice on how to locate a more suitable route to a well known spot!
