third time lucky i suppose, made it to the easternmost point of the island,  beneath sandiaojiao lighthouse, and just past Magang harbour...but little enough in the way of visibility, the sight of turtle island a surprise as the weather lifted just about enough to see its outline from the eastern viewpoint...
