Red Bellied Valentine
My backyard is as dead as a doornail, no action whatsoever save for the loyal cardinals and those ever present European sparrows. Sis and I have decided that her tree is the place to be, so today I removed the screen from her window and washed the winter from the glass. She is visited daily by lots of dark eyed juncos, cardinals and carolina chickadees, doves, woodpeckers, nuthatches and white throated sparrows. I spotted an American Goldfinch yesterday.
I absolutely loved the look on this male red bellied woody as he turned to take flight with his prize.
