not quite awake yet

I caught this yellow crowned night heron taking a little snooze this morning. It had just opened its eyes, but still had one leg up in the sleeping position.
So today my riding buddy and I decided to rent a car (instead of motorcycles) to make the soggy drive to Key West.
The good news - it didn't rain all day. The bad news - it didn't rain at all.
But really we are glad to be in a car with the crazy traffic, and the looming clouds. And we could talk all the way!
