Barrow's Goldeneye taking off...

A thankfully SLOW day today! I did manage to walk the beach for awhile, looking to see what ducks are around...nothing exotic- mergansers, goldeneyes, cormorants, scoters. These are Barrow's Goldeneye (2 couples) doing their noisy take-off dance. I liked this one for all those feet walking on the water and the blurry wings.

Almost time to fire up the sauna.... hard day. (I did actually make soup)
