A Solemn Day Of Remembrance

It was our Sunday this quarter to observe the Lord's Supper or Communion.  In the traditional music service, my younger brother, Larry, and Julie sang a moving duet version of a song he had written to be sung at a Communion service. We worked hard to conform to health and safety concerns and still maintain the reverent spirit of reflection on what our Savior paid for our sin, so that we could be forgiven,  walk with Him daily, and enter the presence of a holy God when we pass from this life into eternity.  At the end of the service, Bro. Steve with his beloved wife, Linda, by his side, told us that he would be retiring from his position as Senior Pastor of our church and that the day we had chosen to celebrate his 30 years as our pastor would be the effective date of his retirement  We knew it was coming, we just didn't know when,  Now we do and we will be trusting God to show us the next step as we look toward the future!  Thank you Bro. Steve and Linda for all you have meant to each of us individually and as a church.  We love you!!!
