Charcoal trail
We went to the Catoctin Mountain park today for a quick hike and to buy apples at the orchard. We decided to do the charcoal trail - nice short loop - and this wood sled used to carry logs was shown midway (here https://www.nps.gov/cato/learn/historyculture/thurmont-vista-charcoal-industry-exhibit.htm there is more of an explanation on the exhibit). In the extra one of the huts used by the colliers (I learned a new word today) and a try to ICM with the trees. Not a sunny day but we still got to go out so I am good with it. Rain started once we got home. Thank you to Marlieske for hosting Derelict Sunday. Thanks to everyone for comments, stars and stopping by. Wishing everyone a nice week.
