It’s started

I find it very frustrating that people have fireworks weeks before the 5th, it’s bad enough on one night.
Last year Hetty was only a pup and didn’t seem bothered but tonight we had some going off close to the house and she got very stressed. Managed to calm her and she then snuggled with me and her blanket on the sofa for the rest of the evening.
Started the day with a walk down by the river before breakfast and then packed the car and closed down the cottage for winter, we always close down the oil and water, drain pipes and turn off power during the winter and as we may not be in a position to go up for a while thought we better prepare for all eventualities.
Very quiet drive home. Hubby cooked while Hetty and I went for a walk.
Managed to watch the episode of Vera that I slept through on Friday.
