We made the most of the afternoon sun and went for a combined bike ride/walk. Some of the interesting birds (linnet, kingfisher etc) made a success of being seen but not being blipped.
On one part of the walk, this dragonfly obligingly posed on an information board which actually identified it as a female broad bodied chaser. At first I thought it had just been cleverly painted on.
Dragonfly eyes have around 30,000 facets; the queue for a dragonfly optician must be very long.
