Perfect.....

Yesterday was so perfect for us, the day went just as we had always wanted. It started by going to my friends house to get my makeup and hair done, and when we arrived she had a bottle of bubbly, strawberries and chocolates. A lovely gesture to start the day right!
After the lovely Karen performed a huge miracle to make me look half decent we then came home to get ready and went to pick up our friends who were to be our witnesses. At the registry office it was surprisingly quiet and I'm only slightly ashamed to say we were fooling about and all giggling like schoolkids waiting for our time. Then we were taken into a lovely little room and had our very quick, albeit slightly strange ceremony. The vows we said were nothing like the samples we were sent beforehand but still the end result was the same!! We both managed to keep it together but my best friend was quite "overcome" lets say, which was really touching.
Then back to hers for a short coffee break and we ventured into Manchester for our meal. Free cocktails and delicious food....nothing more to add there!!
We had a couple of drinks and then came home to a really sweet fireplace display made by our eldest, a homemade banner of congrats, all our cards set up and candles.....So sweet of her.
I even managed to salvage some decent photos as you see here, I must have been giddy with love because normally I'm truly horrified by my self in a picture, but I'm pretty happy with these.
All in all a great day, wouldn't have changed a thing.....
