What a welcome home!
We reluctantly left our home away from home at Blore Hall in the pouring rain and came straight home as there was little point in stopping off anywhere.
On arrival, we found that our 15 year old boiler has finally given up the ghost and the central heating refused to come on - thank goodness we have a gas fire which my husband managed to get working eventually. We must have had a premonition about this as we are having the boiler replaced on Wednesday!
Also to greet us was this little fellow which Seek says is a Western Conifer Seed Bug. Apparently they have only been established in the U.K. since 2007, normally coming from North America. They are not harmful but if disturbed can emit a horrible odour. We relocated it outside after I took a couple of pictures. Not sure how it got in here but hope it was on it’s own.
We went shopping, dropped off my parents order and then came home and started the holiday washing. We are only home for a week and then we are off to the HPB site in Northumberland at Lucker if Boris doesn’t put any more restrictions on us since we are in the north west. Looking forward to our last getaway of the year a LOT so really hope it is possible to still go.
I’ll try and do some catching up on blip tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who has still been looking, starring and commenting on my images this week - it is very much appreciated.
