It'll have to go
Dry again today, sunny and bright until later on. After a morning working indoor, it was great to get out this afternoon. The field beckoned. Spent a couple of hours clearing old brambles from an area destined for a small rhododendron. It was hard going and painfully slow - the ground was wet and clawey when trying to remove old roots and too heavy to plant today. Meanwhile, over by the burn, took this shot of (or rather, through) an old ash tree - it's trunk is completely hollow. It sits right on the edge of the burn (you can see the water below) and has three very large limbs - it's a wonder it still holds together but, sadly, it will have to be cut down sooner or later.
