New route and new friends

Someone woke at 5.40 this morning but as I wasn’t on duty I had a lie in till 8 - luxury!
Out for my walk, a little chilly but I was cosy with my thermal undershirt. Took a new route through the woods and loved the light coming through the trees. Took Phin out for a quick walk and he met a new friend, 2 year old black lab Jess and her usher then a runner who stopped to pet him and revealed she has a 13 week old cocker spaniel Daphne so looking forward to meeting them in the future.
Took Phin to the pet superstore to pick a soft bed to use in the Motorhome and to pick up a present for Henry. He loved sniffing around and met More new friends including a tiny puppy.

Set off for our sons house just after 4 and it was an easy journey arriving around 6. Henry was very excited and ran around madly - poor Phin looked quite terrified at first, tail down and very subservient but eventually the two of them seemed to accept each other as there were lots of wagging tail and almost cuddles. Also lots of licking of faces and other parts!

We had a bite to eat then left to head home. Phin coped well enough with the journeys - the harness works well so he’s safely anchored.
