Autumn colours

We had a busy morning. Mr C cleaned up the van and I baked a cake for James’s 6 birthday tomorrow. And as the oven was in I made apple cakes and cooked some veggie dishes for the freezer.

#2 daughter and family were late arriving to pick up the van and then we discovered they were booked into a site near the Forth and not the one at the by-pass and it closes at 8pm so they are tight for time to get there. In the dark too. But they are young and I’m sure it will be an adventure and the only treat they could think of for James’s birthday. In our area they can’t meet any friends or have anyone in the house or meet friends anywhere so borrowing our van and taking the boys to the zoo tomorrow seemed a really good idea.
