Still knitting - in thick and thin!

Having finished the dress I am now knitting something more practical for the colder weather - a shawl with pockets in Aran wool. Nothing fancy - plain stocking stitch with a narrow border. But making the dress in that lace yarn was very satisfying so I am also making a lacy shawl! It works well having two very different things on the go at the same time - I do the lacy one in daylight as you need good light to see the work and the chart you work from - then I do the thick one in the evening - I can watch TV and knit at the same time as it is so plain I don't need to look at it!
