I took the new car to Thirlmere to familiarise myself with the controls. Stopped in a car park for a few minutes to check the heating controls (the drivers window had been misting up) but didn't get out or take photos. 

At home my eye was drawn to the yellowing hostas. I had plans to take loads of photos and do a collage but preferred this sunbathing hoverfly.
