Dead of Night

Some people avoid cemeteries after dark.  Each morning as I walk Daftie around 6am in the pitch dark, I pass our local cemetery.  Sometimes a man living in a house at the far end of the path opens his garage doors to let his three dogs into the garden (I've only ever seen him in silhouette against the light of the garage behind him).  When this happens, to avoid an early morning barking match, I cut through the cemetery itself.  This was the sight that greeted me this misty morning.  And, no, it's not the sun rising behind the cross (sunrise was still two hours away).  It was a street lamp.  But it created quite a dramatic effect.
