Manesty Woods

Today was a glorious sunny day and we were headed for a different location but as we passed Manesty Woods we could see just how gorgeous the backlit ferns and foliage were looking so we decided to stop there for the day. The woods were positively glistening and you so wanted to capture that atmosphere. However, photographically speaking it is probably one of the most difficult challenges to perform because of the incredible range of contrast and I had made it more difficult to me to capture as I had left my polariser back home. Cutting out the blinkies which were spread right over the image lead to some very dark images which would need a lot of post processing. Still it was an enjoyable day and made a fitting end to the workshop.
