big leaves

I think these big leaves are from an American oak tree that’s growing in the woods where we walk Nelly and Ziggy. The big ones are as big as my hand. Took all the green tomatoes off the plants in the greenhouse today and put them in a bowl in the shed to slowly ripen. Picked the last couple of pattypan squashes and the runner beans too before the frost nips them. And I made a new patchwork curtain for the little linen room we decorated in the summer.
