Bumper harvest

The apple crop this year has been amazing in terms of quantity and size of fruit, fulfilling the potential shown by the blossom in spring.  There is about ten times the quantity of fruit that we will need and there are few people around that would be interested in taking any quantity from us.  Later, when the winter frosts are with us, the birds will be happy with what we throw on the ground for them.
