The Village

A preternatural early visit to Kirkwall today to see the optometrist, he’s converted from being an optician.  Purportedly his sign in the window says ‘If you can’t see what you want in the window then you’d better come inside’.  He dilated my eyes to check the laser stapling after my previous two vitrectomies.  I was concerned that he didn’t mention my ankle.

Once my vision had cleared I went a walk round the village and set a PB; what for I can’t reveal.  I had a chat with Stanley.  Jimmy was out shifting the kye – at the age of 86!

As soon as this Blip was posted I set about making the tea – I know what’s good for me.
