pleasant surprise

i started work yesterday. i work 8-5. i despaired today thinking that i would never be able to take any worthwhile photos because i would be locked up in a cubicle. i was bringing my laundry down to the wash and i saw out the window this sky. it looked foreboding and majestic wrapped in one. beautiful.

behind this shot is a rainbow. rainbows, naturally, make me think of gods promises. but i always feel a little bit strange about it. the rainbow represents gods covenant not to flood the world again. how very specific and strange. i know it generally represents gods faithfulness, but still, it was a specific promise about not flooding us. odd.

im happy. i feel settled here again. its nice to be busy again at work and occupied most of the day. i look forward to my future with anticipation and excitement.
