Just because he could....

Lovely morning out in the fields behind the zoo - when we saw that a couple of ditches just off the path had water in them.

The children were thrilled and were joyously jumping the ditches, getting deliciously muddy and wet ....when we saw the farmer approaching in a truck.

Our well behaved dogs (on this occasion) returned to us immediately when called and we waited to wish him a good day. Couldn't believe it when he told us to move on, no explanation just that "this is a farm not a playground"!!!

Well honestly, we were not crop-trampling, rabbit-chasing, gun-toting wildlife disturbing or doing anything that could in any way have a negative impact on his fields. The kids were just having fun!

Perhaps he knows something we don't, that the reckless jumping of ditches will lead to a breakdown of society as we know it and everyone will die?

Or perhaps he is just a miserable ba*****d?

At least I got some good photos first!
