Spent the day clipping Lime then Jack. Got home then had to immediately go out to rescue Tess. A farmer had slashed the tyre on the van. She was returning from a walk across the footpath and saw the tractor stop alongside the van then later drive off. When she got back the tyre had been slashed. What a horrible person. Why not stop and speak to her? Or leave a note on the van? He's renowned for being a nasty piece of work and has had a go at loads of other dog walkers. He keeps loads of calves in tiny veal crates on his farm. The horses hate going past his farm and always spook. Think they can sense the misery that comes from there.
Tess had stupidly parked the van in a field gateway, however the gateway was not being used. She shouldn't have left it there but it still doesn't give him a reason to slash the tyre. Now I have to fork out for a new tyre when we're already struggling to keep the business going because of Covid. Just keep getting knocked all the time.
I had to go and drop all the dogs off, take Tess home then take Mike back when he finished work with the kids in tow to change the tyre. So it royally f'd up our evening as well. And even though it's criminal damage there's no point reporting it to the police because we don't have a registration and no proof. I hope the miserable arsehole chokes on his dinner.
We did still make it to the yard whilst Mike sorted the tyre and Toby had a quick ride on Jack (Eva feeling under the weather so she didn't ride). Tobes not impressed with Jack's clip and started to cry when he saw it!! I had to explain it was for practical reasons so we can turn him out dry after riding so he doesn't sweat up and get a chill as he was drenched after the hack on Sunday.
So it's not really been a great day. Got a stomach ache and having a pity party for one tonight :0(
