Struggles...

Drove to Lundazi in eastern Zambia. Took almost 12 hours due to the roads...the last leg from chipata to lundazi was horrendous!

It has been bad for a long time with massive potholes so I was prepared for that. But they have started fixing the road so there are detours all over the place mixed with long stretches of potholes.

Just outside Lundazi a bridge washed away last year so there is a temporary bridge. A few months later the next bridge washed away so it is now being repaired as rains should come anytime!!!

Because of this, another detour to get into the town.

Arrived at the guesthouse to find our rooms cancelled due to a government meeting, so had to stay in a not so nice guesthouse tonight...this is the decoration on the wall!!

I am shattered...hoping for a good week ahead!
