Well, I certainly hope you are. Noticed this cheery message on the side of the Pond (now closed) as I waited for the green man. Picked up the hire car - much bigger than I'd asked for, also diesel fueled and automatic. Bleugh - haven't driven one for years, hate the things. No alternatives available. Oh well, it'll be OK on the motorways I guess.

We went in it to Craigleith to visit Homebase (reliably disappointing) and the M & S foodhall where we picked up supplies to take with us tomorrow  in a cool bag. Avoids us having to mingle in restaurant type settings....although I fear that we may have to get fuel at some stage and shall probably need a pee.

Heard the FM's statement on the way back home - new restrictions (for 16 days) on the sale of alcohol in pubs and restaurants,  but nothing that affects our journey.
