Lily Pond in the Rain

We had a mini blipmeet with Wendy (aka Viewpoint) today. Originally we were going to stay in Sheffield for two nights and meet Wendy in the city today. We cancelled the hotel booking but still drove across to Barnsley and met Wendy at Cannon Hall. It was good to catch up with her in person and have a good natter over coffee and lunch. In between coffee & lunch we had a look at the IGPOTY Garden Photographer of the Year open air exhibition in the re-designed gardens of the hall. The Beautiful Barnsley prints were displayed in the hall itself and the extra shows a masked Wendy beside one of her Highly Commended prints.

After lunch we drove to Wakefield with the intention of visiting the Hepworth Gallery but it was closed. We will find a day in the diary soon to return (checking first that it is actually open!).
