The day of fun

Olivia and I went on a day of fun to Edinburgh today, she's never really been to Edinburgh other than shopping at ocean terminal so this was an exciting day out for her. We walked up Cockburn st and up the mile then to the museum via George IV bridge, stopping along the way to take in some sights, this is where she declared she simply HATED the bag pipes! Oh dear this lesson in culture was not starting well.

When we made it to the museum she loved it, her fave room was the Tibet and Asian rooms where she got to do some brass rubbings. We broke my new camera in the science and technology room which seems apt, actually it was the poor woman who offered to take our picture that dropped it and broke it... nightmare, this is every persons nightmare, but all is well as the present came with 3yrs instant replacement cover! YAY so this was merely a blip on the day.

Later in the afternoon we went for some lunch before heading home on the train again, exhausted! She can't wait to come back for our next adventure - here she is playing fossil guess who...

Later on it was time for a day late birthday meal for my brother with all the family, at home with awesome steaks from the butcher! LUSH - GOOD DAY X
