Dunham Massey Deer
After a few excesses last night (long story!) I was in need of some fresh air so headed out to Dunham Massey this afternoon for a walk with the camera. Now, they normally have a good number of Deer in the park which I have photographed in the past but today, for whatever reason, they were nowhere to be seen. I actually gave up looking and was heading back towards one of the exits when I caught a glimpse of some movement off to the right. Not sure what I may have seen I moved a little closer and this young deer, who must of been resting in the long grasses, leapt to its feet and started to run understandably in the opposite direction. I couldn't get my camera up to my eye quick enough and thought I had missed my only chance of the day but I was in luck, for a few seconds it stopped its run and looked back at me. This was the only image I was able to get before it disappeared out of sight.
Thank you for all your comments on the 'wee rose' I posted yesterday.
