Mr Reliable

While I was at the hospital yesterday, Pete went down the valley and was lucky enough to get some good views of the kingfisher that has been sighted down there since Christmas (once by me, but fleetingly). As the sun was shining this morning, I thought I'd have a couple of hours staking out the dam where it was yesterday. No joy this time. I did meet someone from the bird study group who lives even closer and spends a lot of time down there, and he told me he has yet to see it. Oh well, lets hope it sticks around long enough to get itself blipped. Plenty of other birds down there, as always. This nuthatch was my favourite if the morning.
