Those British living here but depending on UK for news don’t realise the awful consequences of storm Alex.
On French news it’s the headlines. After devastating Brittany it moved down south and the Alpes-Maritimes have roads and houses washed away. So far, 4 deaths recorded but many people missing and villages cut off. French news also showed similar problems over the border in Italy.

Very frightening. It seems such events aren’t more frequent, but are much more powerful due to climate change. French proposals for curbing climate change seem much more widespread than in UK. But maybe I don’t follow enough British news!
