There are some fabulous people around. We’ve been disposing of 25 years of accumulated goods, mostly through Facebook marketplace. And tonight two lamps went to an Italian woman, keen to have them in her home. She is a care worker, giving dignity to those at the end of their lives. Her son, keen to follow in mum’s footsteps, is at Cambridge University studying medicine. His ambition is to “heal people’s souls”. Wow! I think she gave away far more light than ever she received from us. There are some fabulous people around. You don’t have to look far to find them.
