Not Easter Island

Today the weather started off wet and the virus numbers from the weekend had left me feeling somewhat anxious and angry. Last week's break seems such a long time ago so I have decided to use another image taken in the grounds of the hotel we stayed in. I love these characters and this one looked really good in its setting by a pond.

Missed out on a walk with Rob today because of my reluctance to mix with groups of people. Will try again later in the week if the data looks to be better.

My son sent me a page from a book entitled "Europe in Autumn" by Dave Hutchinson. It was written in 2014 but could have been about today. Borders closing in Europe, the spread of a catastrophic virus, quarantine etc.....

I have ordered the book and a couple of others in the series. My wife is relieved as it makes a change from the John Grisham novels I have been devouring.
