A touch of blue

The rain stopped this afternoon and the blue sky we'd been enjoying for much of the week made a (brief) reappearance.  So we headed out for walk and ended up in the Black Spout Wood where the Black Spout was in full flow.

Our walk took us past the abandoned car which now looks as if it is being absorbed by the woods. 

I've also been stewing  apples and straining the juice to make another batch of jelly, this time apple and chili. 

If it stays (relatively) dry this evening we will venture out for another glimpse of the light show.
