A Change in Fortune

Out with the rain and in with the sunshine......abracadabra .......done in an instant!
My heart sank when I raised the blinds this morning to find a soggy looking scene outside. It wasn’t as soggy looking though as the route run by the elite runners in the London Marathon where it was raining heavily.
I got hooked on the women’s race and missed the much loved Andrew Marr show, but the race was conveniently over in time for coffee with a Merry Widow in Soderberg, where we sat in a through draught from 2 open doors. If it gets any colder, as it will, then we will have to wear the full polar apparel or I will have to have a Sunday open house in my place once I can have someone apart from me enter.

Miraculously , the dismal start to the day, here at least, morphed into a sparkling and warm afternoon. I had a blip walk before sitting outside to read the Sunday papers in the sun.
