midday in the greenhouse

I was cutting a big bunch of sweet peas when I noticed the sun making patterns on  the greenhouse wall. So here I am, standing in among the vine leaves and the sprouts, trying to capture the midday moment for posterity.

The greenhouse is old and tumbledown, missing a lot of panes (that's why sprouts grow in there quite happily). The old soil sieve came with the house and it reminds me of Mr Mcgregor, the gardener in Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit".

On the subject of books, I finished "David Copperfield" this morning. Possibly my favourite Dickens yet, but then I am only halfway through. November was going to be "Bleak House" but I have decided to catch up on other reading this month, and save it for November, which might be a bleaker month (weather wise..) than this one.

I also decided that even if I have no occasion to wear my collection of Gudrun Sjoden dresses, they are not going to moulder away in the wardrobe. I'm going to wear them all, in turn, and enjoy!

Time to go and do my Inktober drawing now..today's theme is "Radio"
