Feeding the Rainbows

Have you ever fed a rainbow? I had the occasion to visit my friend and former student, G, who runs a trout farm as part of a Native American museum he runs on the family farm. His farm site was once an encampment site for local Native Americans and many local artifacts are displayed in his museum.

For the visitor, there is also trout fishing...rainbow trout in several ponds. If you want to see a feeding frenzy, just ask G to throw a handful of feed upon the waters and watch the surface explode with feeding rainbow trout. In the Extra pic you can see that the local ducks like trout food as well.
