Bed

In situ.

Mr C and I spent the day dismantling old bed, taking down old curtains and lampshades. Hoovering, washing floor. Cleaning windows. Putting new curtains/ lampshades up, laying rug and putting together new bed. The biggest obstacle was getting the large and extremely heavy mattress up the stairs, my goodness that was a toughy. The delivery men had offered to take it all up but we were still taking down the old bed. Oh, how I wished they had now.
Exhausted when we had finished we decided to order some pizzas rather than cook the planned roast. Rather than pick it up we ordered through Deliveroo. If you’re thinking of using them DON’T. Long story short after an hour and a half Lucy took to Twitter to have a rant . They rang 20 minutes later to say they had cancelled our order as too far for delivery driver....what??? Their app said it was 1.6 miles away. We would get our money back in 72 hours.... oh no that’s not good enough we wanted it back immediately. It was incredibly hard to understand the lady on the end of the phone, she refused to put us through to someone else. In the end Mr C popped out to dominoes to pick up some pizzas 2.5 hours after our original order. Grrrrr
