An update on the little fur seal, which was still there this morning, we made a few phone calls when we got home, it was a bit concerning to see the little one still there, had he been able to fish for food? had he been there all night? a volunteer at the rescue of marine animals centre put our minds at rest, he had been checked on early morning, they were hoping after he had rested he would swim off, they were monitoring the situation, apparently he isn't too young to be away from its Mum, the rescue guys don't like to interfere too soon and wanted to give him time, they had an abundance of calls about the fur seals welfare.
He was on our local news this evening, they had taken him up to Quinns Beach this afternoon and released him there into open waters, we saw him swim happily away into the ocean, fingers crosse he gets to where he is going with no more dramas..
