Technical programming stuff... Feel free to skip this one :-)

The led strips I've been using to teach children some programming, won't work any more next year because the programming is done in Scratch v2, which is using Flash Player. Flash is no longer supported after this year and even though I'm currently not teaching programming, I still would like the led strips to work in Scratch v3. The entire way of work around Scratch extensions has changed completely, so I need to understand how it all works now. I've made quite a bit of progress but I'm definitely not there yet!
