Perfect Timing!
I took Bella out for a wee earlier in the pouring rain, we just got to the main road when I heard that deep hooting that can only be a steam train. We rushed over the road to Back Lane where the railway bridge is and shortly after along she came -
The Princess Elizabeth with loads of carriages, the fancy ones with little table lamps in the windows. I couldn't help myself waving frantically and got some waves back.
I just looked on Shed 24H's page and they said the engine was also pulling the Northern Belle at the end. I will never stop getting excited at seeing engines - especially steam ones!
This morning I did an Aldi shop while Frank went to buy a 2nd hand saw he'd seen on Marketplace. I must say that most people in Aldi were keeping their distance, moreso than at the start of lockdown. ;-)
We then spent the afternoon sketching for our #inktober2020 entries. The prompt was 'Bulky'. I did a man carrying a massive, heavy box. We are both so enjoying doing this. It's interesting how differently everyone interprets the challenges.
Now I seem to be spending a lot of my time looking at Inktober sketches as well as Blipfoto!
Sabrina and Lucy's Covid tests were negative but she's been advised to get another test next week as it may have been too early to detect anything.
They are quite angry because now they know who the spreader is. The figure skating group has been allowed to have small groups at the ice rink organised by the coach. Everything has been made as Covid safe as possible and there is no public skating. Everyone has worn masks, stayed distanced from each other and sanitized regularly. However, last week, one member - a professional skater (Disney on Ice) came in without a mask and went among the others. He was told to distance himself but it was too late. He has tested positive as well as 2 others....up to now. It turns out he had put on Facebook that he'd been out partying at pubs and night clubs and friend's houses.
Frank made a lovely Bangladeshi Meal tonight - with potato, cauliflower, aubergine, peas, a banana and spices; not hot but spicy.
I keep forgetting to write something quite funny but a little rude. The other day Sabrina sent me some pictures of some fabrics for new blinds. I wasn't keen on any of them and advised her that something greenish, purplish or duckegg would go. However a slip of the finger put an f instead of d at the start of duckegg! 8-[]
She was in hysterics when she phoned me - her prim and proper Mum!
Have a nice weekend :-) X
