A day of drizzle.

It was time for the annual flu jab and following notices in the local paper and on Facebook we arrived at the surgery just before 10.00 along with many other elderlies from the area. We all dutifully queued across the car park and down to the road as the rain drizzled onto our protective wet coats. Stoic or what.

With some distanced chatting we moved along and the deed was done within half an hour, all very organised once we reached the head of the queue. We didn’t need any shopping but called into see a Cats Protection colleague at work to collect goods for kittens, it’s always a pleasure to see her albeit briefly, and then back along the road for a takeaway coffee and I had an almond croissant, absolute luxury.

The view from above was taken from the back road of the island between Salen and Calgary with what must be some of the best views ever, rain or no rain. We called into the vets farm to drop off the collected kitten goods and home for lunch.

A good morning out. And the upside was very little traffic on the road which was amazing having noticed that Tobermory camp site was very busy, as was Pennyghael apparently.
