Sold...
……………..for Five Dollars
Earlier this year I’d read an article in our Nelson newspaper about this boat berthed at a wharf in Lambton Harbour, Wellington, NZ.
Today we had lunch at one of the many restaurants along the wharf/waterfront and walked past the featured boat which is covered ‘head to toe’ in design patterns.
The following link will take you to the story of this boats interesting life and why it was sold for only $5 after a family of five had lived on it for sixteen years - tied up here at this wharf which is suitably central to the capital city.
The Extra was photographed on our visit to Wellington Museum this afternoon and gives an explantation of a famous dolphin in NZ waters - and for Blipper, PelorusJack.
Thank you for your continued visits, comments, stars and hearts in my absence. Internet was almost non existent and definitely impossible to upload photos to Blip. We had a wonderful time visiting the wilds of Wairarapa’s East Coast which is north of Wellington. I will add back blips soon. We farewell family and Wellington on Tuesday when we set sail across the Cook Strait for home.
