October colour .....

I saw this bowl of beautiful things at the little hotel where Mum meets her friends for a social distanced and ‘in the guidelines ‘ coffee and crafting meet every Friday. I’m so glad they’ve managed to keep meeting .....I now go too as I take mum and the hotel staff are very good , providing home made biscuits , enough distanced tables and a safe place for this small group (4) of 80 to 90 year olds. It’s even more important that their social and mental health is maintained in these times. One of the ladies lost her husband 10 months ago( and is currently quite down),  another’s family lives down south and in NZ so she’s only seen one of them in the last year. Mum is the only one who with our help uses visual technology ( ie FT / Zoom) to keep in touch with family. Long may we be able to continue with this.
