Blea Tarn

I was meant to walk with a friend on Scout Scar this morning but she was unwell and so we have rearranged our walk. Get well C.

So, with a free day, Santana and I drove into the lakes to take advantage of the fine weather. First to Blea Tarn.  I don't think we have been here since last November which is quite unusual as it is a favourite spot.  We pottered about here for a while and then went to Chesters at Skelwith Bridge for coffee. From here to Steel End, Thirlmere which I don't know that well.  We enjoyed taking photographs of the silver birches and also enjoyed the gentle walk along the side of the lake.

Lunch at Lakeland was both delicious and hearty and then home.  Great day.
