Why I was late for work

Had anyone asked.

Today's friendly bundle of fur. Very friendly. (S)he was also there outside the same house and came running up to me expectantly on my way home. I hope I see this cat on a regular basis but I should really get out of bed earlier to make more time for diversions on the way to work.

At lunch time it was quite warm and sunny which was a contrast from last night's snow. I walked to the usual spot by the river and did actually see the kingfisher but it was crafty and settled on the bank opposite a high fence and some gardens so I couldn't get directly in front of it and if I'd tried to approach it from its side it would have flown off long before I got close. I got some photos but nothing that clear. Another day...

I have a cold so have been coughing and sneezing all day. Lovely! Not much else to report. Very glad it's Friday tomorrow as I really need this weekend to sleep.
