Murky Day

A lot of smoke today, although you couldn't really smell it, but the sky is that funny smoky color and the sunrise and sunset are just a ball of orange...you might know what I mean. The light is funny and it feels very autumnal.

A walk with a friend midday and some gardening later after errands. The light was beautiful on 'Rosie the Riveter' - an amazing non-stop bloomer in my garden, so I took advantage and set up the tripod. Don't even think that it rained, because it didn't, but I'm such a sucker for a drippy blip. I had what I thought were two good shots, and Mr. K liked the rosebud best so it's the featured blip. The fully opened Rosie is in the extras. You can get a sense of the orange sky I think.
